The Ellen Sinopoli Dance Company is pleased to join the student dancers and choreographers of the Russell Sage dance division in this concert featuring solo and ensemble works by students, faculty, and ESDC!
This year’s concert is produced by ESDC dancer and Sage professor Sara Senecal. The Russell Sage dancers will perform ensemble pieces created in class, as well as self-choreographed solo projects. ESDC will perform three selections from its current repertory.
ESDC’s repertory for these performances include the full company in an excerpt from “As Seen From Above” (2018), a piece that captures the dynamic and energy of our avian friends; “Falling” (2008), a quintet inspired by the contrasting images of an antebellum staircase, a cacophony of wild blue horses and the swirl of flame; the duet “Pierre’s Words” (1995) for which the depth and fantastical quality Pierre Joris’ voice is almost songlike and is the perfect partner to the movement of the dancers.
There are two shows: Saturday, November 16 at 7pm and Sunday, November 17 at 2pm.
Tickets are available through the RSC box office by calling (518) 244-2248.
