Abram Lansing Elementary School Residency
The Ellen Sinopoli Dance Company’s Around the World project works with the Abram Lansing Elementary School’s 3rd grade students to expand their study of Egypt, Norway, Japan, Brazil by incorporating the art form of dance and creative movement workshops. ESDC Performance at Barker Park
ESDC will perform as part of the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall's Barker Park Kids' Summer Series! This interactive performance of ESDC's popular family-friendly production Undercover Playground brings site-specific dance to the public, and encourages kids to think a little more creatively about the playgrounds they visit! Professor Keith Earle of the University at Albany Physics Department and choreographer Ellen Sinopoli focused on a communion of the arts and sciences, studying side by side the principles of physics and modern dance. See the Dance! Arts in Education Performance
ESDC heads out to Gloversville to perform for the students of Boulevard Elementary School! During our performance of "See the Dance!" students will experience our most high-flying repertory, and even get a chance to come on stage and try some moves for themselves. Creative movement workshops for 5th graders commence the next day, and culminates in a performance by the eight 5th grade classes!
