ESDC performs in The Egg’s Hart Theater! The ever creative, collaborative choreography of ESDC, resident dance company of The Egg, returns to the stage to perform its annual showcase of imaginative and inspiring works. The company will be joined on stage by musicians Brian Melick and Maria Zemantauski who will play live for Falling (2003).
Through its four-year partnership with UAlbany’s Physics Department for Girl’s Inc.’s Eureka Summer Program, ESDC examines science through dance workshops drawing from the company’s collaboration with UAlbany Physics professor Keith Earle to develop Choreophysics, an examination of the communion of the arts/dance and sciences/physics.
For more than 25 years, ESDC has provided programming designed to offer ALES’ 2nd and 3rd graders the opportunity to experience the bravery of creativity and invention as they step into the realm of how one might learn differently and see themselves in the most positive way possible. Pre-K – 3rd grades ESDC returns to the Troy Public Library for a Movement Story Hour. The Artistic Director introduces literacy through movement. Reading from the ESDC’s extensive library of children’s books, she incorporates creative movement to enhance the reading experience. Children become a part of the story and find a love of reading.
