Sungaya Inexpectata

Inspired by the dance’s often quirky movement, the title comes from the scientific name for a certain type of stick bug. The choreography is propelled by Jared Dirolf’s improvisational, unpredictable and playfully developed rhythms. His composition, Wave Function Collapse, is performed with guitar and a modular synthesizer of Dirolf’s own design and construction.
